Dissertation:Nina works as legal adviser at the German Parliament. In addition, she teaches as guest lecturer courses on international law, human rights law, comparative law and legal history at the University of Lund and the Raoul Wallenberg Institute in Sweden. Her research focusses currently at legal convergence and the inteaplay of the disciplines of international law, law and society and comparative law.

Arthur Cockfield, BA (University of Western Ontario), LL.B (Queen’s University), JSM and JSD (Stanford University), is the Associate Dean and an Associate Professor at Queen’s University Faculty of Law where he was appointed as a Queen’s National Scholar. Prior to joining Queen’s, he worked as a lawyer in Toronto and as a law professor in San Diego. He has been a visiting scholar at the University of Texas and is a research fellow in taxation law at Monash University (Australia). Professor Cockfield has authored, co-authored or edited six books and over forty academic articles and book chapters focusing on tax, privacy and law and technology theory and is the recipient of a number of fellowships and grants for this research. His research recognitions include an appointment as an Honorary Theme Editor by UNESCO due to his status as “a recognized world expert” in the study of law.

Niva Elkin-Koren is a professor of law at the University of Haifa School of Law, where she teaches Contract Law, Intellectual Property, Information Law, and related courses and seminars. She is the founder and the Director of the Haifa Center of Law & Technology (HCLT). She received her LL.B from Tel-Aviv University School of Law in 1989, her LL.M from Harvard Law School in 1991, and her S.J.D from Stanford Law School in 1995. Her research focuses on the legal institutions that facilitate private and public control over the production and dissemination of information. She has written and spoken extensively about the privatization of information policy, copyright law and democratic theory, the effects of cyberspace on the economic analysis of law, liability of information intermediaries, the regulation of search engines, and strategies for enhancing the public domain. She was a visiting professor at NYU School of Law in 2004-2005, George Washington University Law School 2001 and Villanova University School of Law 1997.

Joan Gilmour is an Associate Professor at Osgoode Hall Law School, York
University, in Toronto, Canada. She is Director of Osgoode's Masters
Program specializing in Health Law, and has served as Acting and Associate
Director of the York University Centre for Health Studies, and Director of
Osgoode's Institute for Feminist Legal Studies. She has acted as a
consultant to Health Canada and the Ontario Law Reform Commission.

Before joining the University of British Columbia faculty, he was a research associate, Kyoto University, Faculty of Law, April 1980-March 1983; associate professor, Osaka University, Faculty of Law, April 1983-March 1994; professor, Osaka University, Faculty of Law, April 1994-December 2005. He studied Constitutional Law at Stanford and wrote a dissertation on “Judicial Review v. Democracy--An Inquiry into the Nature and Limits of Legitimate Constitutional Interpretation by the Judiciary.” At the University of British Columbia, he is a director of Japanese Legal Studies program and teaches Japanese Law, Cyberspace Law and other courses. He has published many books and articles and his resent publications in English includes "The voting rights of Japanese citizens living abroad", International Journal of Constitutional Law 5.2 (2007) 332-342; "The protection of "fundamental human rights" in Japan".
